Getting Started with SimCap

If you just downloaded SimCap and want the shortest path from zero to an actual index, this is it. Four steps. Same arc as the homepage, just with a little more of what you actually tap.

1. Sign up free

Create your SimCap profile. No credit card, no commitment. Once you're in, you're looking at Home — that's where your index will live once you've logged something.

2. Pick your course and tee

Open Log a round from the center tab. Choose the course you played from SimCap's curated library, then pick the tee closest to the yardage you actually hit. Tee chips show rating and slope so you're not guessing. If nothing's close, use Custom and enter rating and slope yourself.

3. Log your round

Enter your gross score and the conditions you played under — putting mode, pin placement, wind, and mulligans. Those settings matter. SimCap adjusts your differential for how the round was actually set up, not as if every indoor round were the same outdoor round. (There's a longer walkthrough in How to Log a Round.)

On GSPro you can also use Scan Scorecard to pull a lot of that in from a photo — still review it before you save.

4. Get your index

Tap Save round. SimCap updates your index, Home chart, and Profile, and opens round analysis. After one counting round you'll see a SimCap index on Home. It gets more meaningful as you add recent rounds.
